Agnes Rose Beckmann, 95, passed away on Tuesday, January 2

Agnes Rose Beckmann, 95, of Stevensville, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 2, 2018, at her home.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 AM on Monday, January 8, 2018, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 220 Church St., St. Joseph, MI with V.Rev. Robert Creagan officiating. Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery, St. Joseph. Visitation will be from 2-4 PM Sunday, January 7, 2018 at Starks & Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph, MI with a Rosary recited at 3 PM. Agnes was born on February 16, 1922, in Granville, Iowa to the late Frank and Mary Anne Beckmann. She graduated from St. Joseph Catholic High School. Agnes worked at Saranac Machine, Whirlpool and retired from AEP after eleven years of service. Agnes was a lifetime member at St. Joseph Catholic Church. She was an avid Notre Dame fan and also enjoyed volunteering at the church, traveling, shopping and eating at fine restaurants. Agnes cherished her nieces, nephews, and most of all, her sister, Alvina.

Agnes is survived by her sister, Alvina Dieckman; nieces and nephews, Sister Sharon Beckmann, OP, Marcia Anstiss, Joseph Beckmann, Jr., Terri (Michael) Graham, Kathryn (David) Martin, Donald Dieckman, Rosemary Dukesherer-White, Roger (Andrea) Dieckman, Janet (Joseph) Schulte; great-nieces and nephews, Michala Beckmann, Brian Beckmann, Patrick Beckmann, Joshua (Melissa) Beckmann, John Graham, Matthew Graham, Mark Graham, Gayle (Greg) Langolf, TJ (Alexis) Froehlich, Alex Froehlich, Joe (DeAnna) Dukesherer, Robert (Stacey) Dukesherer, Scott (Amy) Dukesherer, Michael (Asmita) Runge, Jennifer Kinch and numerous great great-nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Joseph Beckmann, Sr. and nephews, James Beckmann, Michael Beckmann, baby Mark Dukesherer, Robert “Duke” Dukesherer and Kenneth Runge.
