Bobby D. Robinson, 85,passed away July 29, 2020

Bobby D. Robinson, 85 of Coloma passed away suddenly Wednesday, July 29, 2020 at Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo.

Per his wishes cremation has taken place.  A graveside burial of ashes with military honors will be held 11:00 A.M. Friday, August 7 at North Shore Memory Gardens.  Donations in memory of Bob may be made to Caring Circle Hospice, Coloma American Legion, or to the North Berrien Military Rites Team. Bob was born August 7, 1934 in Enid, Oklahoma to Raymond and Stella (Koch) Robinson.  He joined the Navy in 1952, retiring from the USNR in 1980 after 28 years of service.  He also retired from General Motors in 1990 after 17 years of service.  Bob was formerly employed by Home Depot and Lowes and was a former member of the Coloma Fire Department.

Survivors include his wife Charlene (Lamoreaux) whom he married June 20, 1981; one son, Bruce Robinson of Roswell, GA; two daughters, Sharol Roche of Kalamazoo and Kelly Disbrow of Coloma; and one brother, Vern L. Robinson of Jackson, MI.  Also surviving are two grandchildren, Francisco Rodriguez Robinson and Angelina (Jesus) Morales; seven great grandchildren, Derek and Loren Wright, Elija and Liam Rodriguez, Jorge Jaimes, Israel and Isarely Morales; two great great grandchildren, Sofia and Gabriela Jaimes; and a niece Judy (Ed) Molt of Warrensburg, MO.

In addition to his parents Bob was preceded in death by his first wife Andray in 1979, one brother and two sisters.
