Breaking and Entry in Eau Claire and Sodus

DATE AND TIME OF INCIDENT:  03-21-2020 / 0556 Hours

 

TYPE OF INCIDENT:   Breaking and Entry, Possession of Burglary Tools, Possession of Methamphetamine                                   

 

LOCATION OF INCIDENT:  6562 Naomi Road, Eau Claire, Pipestone Township                                                          4071 Naomi Road, Sodus, Sodus Township

 

AGENCIES INVOLVED:     Berrien County Sheriff’s Department

 

ARRESTED PERSONS:  

Malisa Kumrow, 39 year old Female, Kalamazoo, MI

Michael Walls, 41 year old Male, Kalamazoo, MI

 

    

NARRATIVE:          

On 03-21-2020, The Berrien County Dispatch advised of a business alarm at the address of 4071 Naomi Road, The Chapel Hill Church.  responding units discovered a smashed window on the north side of the building.  while checking the building, officers were advised of an additional business alarm at 6562 Naomi Road, the Eau Claire Seventh Day Adventist Church.  Responding officers went to that location to discover that a window on the east side of the building was smashed.  Officers checked the building and the area for possible suspects.  While checking the area, Officers located an occupied vehicle sitting on the side of the road.  Officers made contact with the passenger of the vehicle and determined that the vehicle and female were involved in the recent business alarms.  Officers also located a male walking down the road and determined that the male subject was involved. 

 

As a result of this investigation, the male and female were lodged at the Berrien County Jail, for breaking and entry, possession of burglary and Possession of methamphetamine.
