Chris was born on July 19, 1953, to Edward & Virginia (Kalka) Jaskiewicz, in St. Joseph. She attended Lake Michigan Catholic Schools, graduating in 1971. She continued her education at Western Michigan University. On January 4, 1975, Chris married the love of her life, Larry Glendening, at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Chris was a proud lifelong member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and was employed for many years as the Development Director for Lake Michigan Catholic Schools. She enjoyed tending to her flower garden, baking and cooking delicious meals and treats for her family. However, what gave Chris the most joy was her grandchildren; being around them gave her the biggest smile. Chris was an incredible woman, who had a heart of gold and will truly be missed by all who knew her.

Chris is survived by her loving husband of 45 years, Larry; sons, Allan & Bryan (Amber) Glendening both of St. Joseph; grandchildren, Katelyn & Allison; and sisters, Marcia (Vern) Shoff, Roberta (William) Wagner & Cindy Birk. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward & Virginia; and brother-in-law, Michael Birk.
