Daisiana “Daisy” Curtis

Daisiana “Daisy” Curtis, 89, of St. Joseph, passed away after losing her battle with cancer on Wednesday, March 9, 2016 with her family by her side.

Daisy was born December 29, 1926 in La Porte, IN to Dudley & Dorothy (Naylor) Barnes. On August 16, 1947, she married Frank Curtis.  Daisy was a homemaker who kept a busy schedule caring for her family.  She also worked at the former Whirlpool Appliance Buyers Credit Corporation.  In her spare time she enjoyed playing in a golf league, and she especially enjoyed the time spent golfing with her grandsons Curtis and Ryan.  She enjoyed playing in her bridge group and going to her book club.  Daisy looked forward to Sunday breakfasts with her dear friends.  Most of all, she loved spending time with her daughters and grandchildren.  Daisy was loved by all who met her and will be dearly missed.

Daisy is survived by her daughters Patricia (William) Baushke of Clarksville, TN, Nancy (Steven) Howell of Japan, and Suzanne (David) Block of St. Joseph; six grandchildren Ryan (Amy) Baushke, Rachel Block, Michael, Melissa, Megan, and Emily Howell; and two great grandchildren Cason and Brooklyn. Daisy was preceded in death by her parents, husband Frank, grandson Curtis Baushke, brother Robert Barnes, and nephew Jim Barnes.

A Gathering will be held at a later date.  Memorials may be made to Hospice at Home, Southwest Michigan Humane Society or to the Berrien County Cancer Service. Those wishing to share a memory of Daisy online may do so at www.starks-menchinger.com
