Darlene L. Mattner, 80, of Eau Claire, passed away, Monday, February 9, 2015 at Lakeland Regional Medical Center in St. Joseph. 

A Celebration of Life Service will be held 10:00 A.M., Monday, February 16, at Grace Lutheran Church, 605 Pipestone Rd.., Eau Claire, with Rev. James Bartz officiating. Burial to follow at Shanghai Cemetery in Eau Claire. Friends may visit Sunday, February 15, from 1:00 P.M. until 5:00 PM at Starks & Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph or Monday at Grace Lutheran one hour prior to the service. Darlene was born June 3, 1934 to Elsie (Reisig) and Lee Koebel, Sr. She graduated from Berrien Springs High School and married Richard Mattner on August 16, 1952 in Eau Claire. Darlene was always full of life, she helped her husband on the farm and loved to travel, but her biggest passion was caring for her family.

Darlene is survived by her son Kevin (Sherrie) Mattner, her daughter Denita Luttrell, grandchildren Pete (Nancy) Mattner, Kellie (Greg) Pugh, Autumn Mattner, Melanie (Marc) Rettig, and Melissa Lutrell; great-grandchildren Brianna and Kayleigh Pugh, Colt Mattner, and Luke Rettig; step grandchildren Lisa Raucci and Rebecca Mack; sister Yvonne (Emil) Klug, and brother Lee (Sharon )Koebel, Jr.

Darlene was preceded in death by her parents Lee and Elsie Koebel, husband Richard on August 19, 2013, and son Jeffery on December 25, 2012.
