Doris Tiefenbach, 93, of St. Joseph passed away Friday, April 11, 2014 at Pine Ridge Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Stevensville.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, April 15, 2014 at First Baptist Church, 902 Broad St., St. Joseph with Pastor Marlo Fritzke officiating. Burial will follow at North Shore Memory Gardens in Coloma. Friends may visit from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Monday, April 14, 2014 at Starks & Menchinger Chapel & Cremation Service, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church. Doris was born September 29, 1920 in Osierfield, GA to William & Zelma (Lee) Harden Sr. On May 6, 1945 she married Alfred Tiefenbach in Jacksonville FL. Doris was a homemaker who kept a busy schedule caring for her family. She was a Member of First Baptist Church Visitation Committee, the Ladies Missionary Guild and a Sunday School Teacher. In her spare time she enjoyed spending time with her family especially her grandchildren and was an avid Chicago Cubs Fan and a mighty prayer warrior.

Doris is survived by her sons Michael (Linda) Tiefenbach of Bridgman, Kenneth (Kendra) Tiefenbach of St. Joseph, and William (Linda) Tiefenbach of Portage; grandchildren Michael (Maria), Nathan (Shelley), William, Anthony (fiancé Kristen), Timothy (Nicole), Andrew, Tyler and Adam Tiefenbach; step grandchildren Nova (fiancé Craig) and Seth Hinman four great grand children Liam, Maddy, Aiden and Finnley; sisters Carolyn Tucker, Frankie Lee Tidwell, and Ruth Palmer. Doris was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and siblings William Harden Jr., Joyce Richardson, and Elizabeth Staten.
