Dorothy M. Pauck, age 97, was called home to Heaven on April 4, 2015 at Woodland Terrace where she resided since 2008.

Dorothy’s Coronation Service will be held 11:30 am Wednesday, April 8, 2015 at Pike Funeral Home, Boyd Chapel, 9191 Red Arrow Hwy, Bridgman with Rev. Jon Bendewald of Immanuel Lutheran Church officiating. Friends may meet with the family from 10:30 - 11:30 am prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery, Bridgman. As an expression of sympathy memorial contributions may be given to Immanuel Lutheran Church, Box 26, Bridgman, MI 49106 or Hospice at Home, 4025 Health Park Lane, St. Joseph, MI 49085.

Dorothy was born in Merrill, Wisconsin on December 26, 1917 the daughter of the late Martin and Ella (Storm) Schmidt. She was married to her husband, Arthur W. Pauck in 1936 in Merrill, and they were blessed with 76 years of marriage. He preceded her in death in November, 2012. Dorothy and Arthur moved to Bridgman in the year 2000, to be near their daughter and family. Dorothy was a devout Christian woman who loved her Lord Jesus, her husband, and her children and their families. In her younger years she was active in her church’s Altar Guild and taught Sunday School. She was a homemaker, an excellent baker, and enjoyed canning vegetables from their garden as well as sewing and quilting. She enjoyed participating in Bingo and other games, listening attentively to her “Bible Story narrator” every week, and enjoyed music programs while residing at Woodland Terrace. Dorothy was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Bridgman

Surviving are her two daughters: Marion (Paul) Winter of Bridgman, and Marjorie (Richard) Schuman of Arlington Heights, IL; five grandchildren: Jon (Donna) Winter, Elizabeth Winter, Sarah (Chris) Deckert, James (Heather) Winter; and Sherry (Thomas) Hoffman; nine great-grandchildren: Rachel (Kurt) Palleschi, Sydney (Erik Smith) Boos, Piper (Shane) Current, Jonathan (Tabitha) Winter, Nicole and Matthew Winter, Alexis and Cassandra Deckert, and Matthew Hoffman; four great-great-grandchildren.
