Auditions Scheduled at The Twin City Players

St. Joseph, MI –  December 22, 2017 – The Twin City Players (TCP) will hold auditions for the fifth Mainstage production of its 2017-2018 Season, Doubt a Parable by John Patrick Shanley, on Thursday, January 18 at 6:30 pm and Saturday, January 20 at noon. Callbacks, if needed, will be on Sunday, January 21 at noon. All at the Twin City Players Campus at 600 West Glenlord Road, St. Joseph, Michigan 49085. The production is directed by Timothy Aranyos Jr.

In this brilliant and powerful drama, Sister Aloysius, a Bronx school principal, takes matters into her own hands when she suspects the young Father Flynn of improper relations with one of the male students. A gripping mystery and winner of the 2005 Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award. (Adult themes).

Please prepare a 60-90 second monologue for the audition. Auditions will also include readings from selected scenes. Cast needed:

Father Flynn - A progressive priest from the working class northeast. Articulate and personable. Middle-aged.
Sister Aloysius Beauvier - The head nun and principal of St Nicholas School. Member of the Sisters of Charity. She is watchful, reserved, and unsentimental. Fifties or Sixties.
Sister James - A young impressionable nun. Enthusiastic but inexperienced teacher. There is a bit of sunshine in her heart though she is reserved as well. Twenties.
Mrs. Muller - The mother of Donald Muller, the school's first black student. Alert and cautious. Late thirties.
