Elias Harlin Wendzel passed away October 31, 2020

Elias Harlin Wendzel went to be with the Lord after passing peacefully in the arms of his mother on October 31, 2020. He lived for 17 precious hours and will be greatly missed.

He was born on October 30, 2020 at 2:16 pm at Bronson Hospital, Kalamazoo, Michigan. He weighed 5 pounds and 5 ounces and was 19 inches long.

Elias was the son of Brandon and Jennifer Wendzel of Coloma, Michigan.

Elias is survived by his parents; a brother Henry; grandparents Gordon Wendzel of Watervliet, Pamela Wendzel of Benton Harbor, Brian and Deborah Eubanks of Benton Harbor; uncles Austin Wendzel of Watervliet and Corey (Ashleigh) Eubanks of Sodus; a cousin Amelia Eubanks of Sodus; and great-grandparents William and Martha Molter of Benton Harbor, Naomi (Victor) Adams of Eau Claire, and John Hicks of Sodus.

He was preceded in death by great-grandparents Donald and Marjorie Wendzel of Watervliet, James Eubanks of Coloma, and Karen Hicks of Sodus; and an uncle Charles Wendzel.

Arrangements are under the direction of Duffield & Pastrick Family Funeral Home, Coloma.

A private family memorial service followed by graveside services in New Hope Cemetery in Bainbridge Township will be held at a later date.  Pastor Jay Hartmann of Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church in Coloma  will be presiding.
