Frances Agnes Krieger, 93, of St. Joseph, passed away on Saturday, August 5, 2017.

 A Celebration of Life will take place on Tuesday, August 8, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Christ Lutheran Church, 4333 Cleveland Ave., Stevensville. Friends may visit with the family on Monday, August 7, 2017 from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM at Starks & Menchinger Chapel & Cremation Services, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph. Memorial contributions may be made to Caring Circle Hospice or Christ Lutheran Church and School.  Frances was born December 5, 1923 in St. Joseph to Gustav and Minna Baum. She grew up on Silver Beach and was known as a ‘Sand Rabbit’. After graduating from St. Joseph High School in 1941 she married Russell Krieger who had joined the Army during World War II.

 Frances was a loving mother, wife, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great grandmother. She loved to cook, bake, sew, square dance, and play cards. She was an active member at both Trinity Lutheran Church and Christ Lutheran Church. She also volunteered at the hospital.

 She is survived by her brother Donald (Joyce) Baum; daughter Patricia (Chuck) Kunert; son Richard (Pamela)Krieger; daughter-in-law Glenda Krieger; 8 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-

grandchildren.

 She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Lawana Cable, Shirley Damaske, and Virginia Patzer; husband Russell; and oldest son Michael.

 A special ‘Thank You’ goes to Fran’s niece Loretta Holmes, caregiver Linda Horjus, and Stephen Minister Karen Dine who took the time to visit, pray, and help her when she needed a special touch or word of comfort. Fran always said she was blessed to have such good people in her life.
