Frank L. Barry

Frank LeRoy Barry, age 91, passed away Friday, May 1, 2015, in Fort Myers, FL.  Frank, the youngest of five children, was born on September 16, 1923 in  Canastola, New York.

He served in the Air Force in WWII as a Staff Sargent; after which, he got his degree in Mechanical Engineering.  He then began a long and successful career working for the government, in Detroit, Michigan, retiring in 1978.

Frank loved spending time with family and friends, playing golf and building/repairing any and everything.  To know Frank was to love Frank.  He always had a smile on his face and made all those around him feel joy, happiness and love.  He was a gentleman in every sense of the word and respected by all who knew him.  He will be deeply missed, but the memory of his goodness will last forever.

Frank is survived by four sisters-in-law, Roselyn (Martorano) Sax, Sharon (Mundt) Martorano, Palma (Marsala) Martorano, Mitzi (Sila) Martorano, a brother-in-law, Joseph Sax and many nieces and nephews who loved him very much.  Frank was preceded in death by his wife, Mary (Martorano) Barry, four brothers-in-law, a sister-in-law, parents and siblings.

Rest in peace, our Frankie.  We love you beyond measure.
