George M. Neff, 84, passed away May 10, 2020

George M. Neff, 84, of Coloma, passed away Sunday morning, May 10, 2020 at Hallmark Living in Benton Harbor.

Due to the current corona virus situation, no services are planned at this time. Cremation will take place followed by burial of ashes at North Shore Memory Gardens.

Memorial donations in George's honor may be made to the Alzheimer's Association and either mailed or dropped off to the funeral home at 6548 Paw Paw Avenue, Coloma, MI 49038.

George was born October 22, 1935 in Benton Harbor, Michigan to Ernest and Leora Neff. After graduating from high school, he enlisted in the United States Army and served his country during the Korean War. In his younger days George was a stock car race driver for several years. His love of the sport led him to become a big fan of NASCAR in later years. In 1958 he and Vivian Boruff were married and enjoyed 61 years together prior to Vivian's passing last fall. George worked at Continental Can Company for over 20 years prior to his retirement in 1996. He was also a member of First Baptist Church in Coloma.

George  is survived by his three sons, Thomas Neff of Coloma, Kerry Neff of West Palm Beach, Fla., and Kenneth Neff of Las Vegas, Nev.; his sister Cindy; four grandchildren; six great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; his brother-in-law William Boruff Sr.;  his nephew William Boruff Jr. of Watervliet and his niece Kimberly (Jeffrey) Weber of Kalamazoo.
