Henry Wiegel, 98 of Coloma passed away Tuesday, Sept 2 at the Hanson Hospice Center in Stevensville.

Services with Military Honors will be held 11:00 am Friday, Sept 5, at Salem Lutheran Church in Coloma where visitation will begin one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in Coloma Cemetery. Donations may be made to Salem Lutheran Church of which he was a member and usher for over 60 years, Hospice at Home, or the North Berrien Senior Center. Henry was born February 11, 1916 in Chicago to Henry and Dorothy (Hoppe) Wiegel. He joined the Army in 1941. After 29 months stateside as an artillery outfitter he went overseas for 28 months in the South Pacific, Fijis, Wallis Island, Guadalcanal, New Guinea, and the Philippines, being discharged in 1945. He worked for Winkle Machine, Advance Products, and retired from Mac Engineering in 1980. In his free time he took a few trips, played a lot of golf with the Over the Hill Golf League, and enjoyed the company of the McDonald's Morning Coffee Club.

Survivors include his wife of over 63 years Ann, a son Brian (Sandy) Kraemer of Coloma, grandson Douglas (Beth) Kraemer of Coloma, and two great grandchildren Maverick and McKinleigh Kraemer.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers and six sisters.
