St. Joseph, Michigan—Entertaining the crowd with R&B, Reggae, Soul, Dance, and Grind Funk favorites, Jewell & The Future will be bringing a dose of holiday cheer – and plenty of inspired music to match it – as the band returns to Czar’s 505 in St. Joseph, Michigan on Saturday, December 16, 2017, from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m.  Cost is only $5.

Jewell & The Future’s diverse genre of music will rock the house with the sounds of Prince, Rick James, Bob Marley, Aerosmith, Betty Wright, Ohio Players, and other songs, including their originals “Mary Ain’t Got No Shoes “Jam,” “Let the Music Do the Talking.”

“They call it ‘grind funk,’ because it’s a mixture of rock, funk, and a little bit of reggae,” says Jewell – who goes by just one name, like his bandmates. “Some people have described it as a combination of Lenny Kravitz, Prince and Aerosmith.”

Inspired by Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, and James Brown, to name a few, frontman Jewell started his career as a guitarist in different bands. The current Future lineup includes LaDiva (keyboards, vocals), Ian (keyboards, vocals), Sam (bass), Chaunta (drums), and Carey “Special K” Kimble (percussion, vocals).
