Joseph was born March 12, 1999 in Kalamazoo, Michigan to Joseph Cavazos and Nora Vela. He was a graduate of Hartford High School and was, until recently, working with a landscaping firm. Joseph had a very big heart, sharing that with everyone in his life.  He was known as being a good brother, son and friend to those who knew him. In his free time he loved to do drawings, spend time in the garage working on cars, or being outside working in the yard. He will be missed by all.

Joseph is survived by his mother, Nora (Gerardo) Aguirre of Hartford; his father Joseph (Amber) Cavazos of Coloma; his brother and sisters, Sergio and Ginessa Aguirre, both of Hartford, and Mia and Aliya Cavazos, both of Coloma; his grandparents, Rene Vela, Elena Hidalgo, Angel Aguirre, Ernestina Cisneros; his godparents Delilah Mireles and Rogelio Beraza; and many aunts and uncles.

Joseph was preceded in death by his sister Justice Victoria Cavazos, his step-sister Zandra Liliana Aguirre, and grandparents Hermelinda Vela and Henry Cavazos.
