Ladd "Bud Burr" Wilson, 92 passed away May 17, 2019

Ladd "Bud Burr" Wilson, 92 of Coloma passed away Friday, May 17, 2019 at Hanson Hospice Center in Stevensville.

Cremation has taken place.  A memorial service with Military Honors will be held 3:00 pm Saturday, May 25 at Duffield & Pastrick Family Funeral Home in Coloma.  Burial of his ashes will take place at a later date at Spring Run Cemetery in Scottdale.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Coloma American Legion Post 362 or Caring Circle Hospice.  Those wishing to leave an online message of remembrance may do so by using the "Guestbook" link located on this page.

Ladd was born November 18, 1926 in Benton Harbor to Graydon and Clara (Burr) Wilson.  He proudly served in the United States Navy during WWII.  On May 29, 1946 he married Veronica Richter in South Bend.  Ladd was a member of the Coloma American Legion Post 362, former member of the Elks Club, was formerly employed by Producers Creamery, Huran Reddimix, Berrien County Road Commission, and retired from Watervliet Paper Company.  He also designed and built many houses throughout Berrien County.

Survivors include his granddaughter Wendi C. (Brian) Stevens of Coloma; two great grandchildren, Samantha A. (Camden) Henderson and Brian (Ashley) Stevens II both of Benton Harbor; and four great great grandchildren, Edward and Leo Stevens, and Gavin and Savannah Henderson.  Also surviving is a sister Betty Spear of Las Vegas, son-in-law Carl Brasier of Coloma, and his feline companion, Big Fred.

Ladd was preceded in death by his wife Veronica, his son Bruce Wilson, and his daughter Lolly Brasier.
