Lillian Neubauer, 88, passed away on January 8, 2019

Lillian Neubauer, 88, of St. Joseph, MI, went to her heavenly home on January 8, 2019.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11 AM Saturday, January 12, 2019 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 619 Market St., St. Joseph, with Rev. Michael Roth officiating. Visitation will take place prior to the service at 10 AM.  Memorial donations may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church – Music Fund or Monday Musical Club Inc.  Those wishing to leave an online condolence may do so at www.starks-menchinger.com.

Lillian was born March 20, 1930 in Tiptonville, TN to Leo Miller & Frances Miller.  She graduated from Benton Harbor High School. On June 20, 1959, Lillian married the love of her life, Irv Neubauer.  Lillian and Irv enjoyed playing golf and bridge together and with their friends. Her largest passion in life was for music. She was involved with Monday Musical for over 50 years holding various office positions, sang in the senior choir at Trinity Lutheran Church, proudly sang with the Symphony Chorus and took music lessons in voice and piano. Lillian was an incredible lady who loved her family dearly and will be missed by all who knew her.

Lillian was a wonderful and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, sister, daughter and friend to many. She is survived by her daughters, Kathleen (Mark) Scott of Freeland, MI, and Kimberly (fiancé, Rob Pearce) Neubauer of St. Joseph; step-son, Ronald Neubauer; step-daughter, Sandra Neubauer; grandchildren, Hannah and Rachel Scott, Krista McGann; seven great-grandchildren; brother, Bill (Susan) Miller; four nieces; two nephews; granddogs, Barley and Maggie; and her special friend/caregiver Phyllis Karl.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Irv and her grandson, David Neubauer.
