Lolitta A. Walsh, 90, passed away November 25, 2018

Lolitta A. Walsh, 90, of Stevensville, passed away, Sunday, November 25, 2018 at her home.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held 11:30 A.M. Wednesday, November 28 at Starks & Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph, with Rev. David Stout officiating.  Burial will follow at Graceland Cemetery in Bridgman.  Friends may visit with the family from 10:30 until 11:30 A.M. Lolitta was born May 10, 1928 in Dallas, Wisconsin to Charles & Clara (Davis) Gardner.  She graduated high school and went on to earn her LPN certification.  On November 21, 1946 she married Donald Walsh in Bellevue, Nebraska.  In 1974, Lolitta founded Mid-County Lawn and Garden in St. Joseph, where she continued to work well into her 80’s.  Lolitta was a member of Pilgrim Congregational UCC where she served on the board of directors, the Red Hat Society and the St. Joseph-Lincoln Senior Center.  She enjoyed tending to her yard & flower gardens, and shopping at her favorite store-Carson’s.

Lolitta is survived by her children-Donna (Danny) Fry of St. Robert, Missouri, Diane (Roger) Barrus of Richmond, VA, Michael Walsh of Stevensville; seven grandchildren-Donald Fry, Dana (Ben) Campbell, Corinne (Hugh) Haskins, Arianne Barrus, Tyler (Liz) Barrus, Caitlin Barrus, Kathleen Walsh and her Mother-Barbara Walsh; fourteen great-grandchildren; siblings-Jean Severson of Chetek, WI, Skip (Marlene) Gardner of Chetek, WI, Charlotte Coleman of Rice Lake, WI, Cheryl (Daniel) Treinen of Bozeman, MT; numerous nieces & nephews; her long-time caregiver Yolanda Carrillo; and her best friend Carol Valha.  She was preceded in death by her husband Donald on July 16, 1999, her granddaughter Denea Fry, her parents, and three brothers-Gale, Norval & Clifford Gardner.
