Marianne Pollee, 91, passed away Friday, June 23

Marianne Pollee, 91, formerly of Stevensville, passed away, Friday, June 23, 2017 at Woodland Terrace in Bridgman, where she resided. 

A Celebration of Life Service will be held 11:30 A.M. Friday, July 7, 2017 at Starks & Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph, with Rev. Robert Confer officiating. Marianne was born May 21, 1926 in Marl-Huels, Germany to August & Lina (Kuhlman) Stock. She attended trade school and became a draftswomen, working for several years before she married Waldemar “Wally” Pollee in Marl-Huels, Germany.  They moved to Benton Harbor from Germany in July, 1953.  Marianne was a member of First Church of God in St. Joseph where she was a long time choir member and served on the flower committee.  After retirement, she and Wally enjoyed traveling.  Marianne was a wonderful wife, mother & grandmother.  She devoted herself to her family.  In her free time, Marianne enjoyed sewing, cooking, knitting and tending to her flower gardens. 

Marianne is survived by her children-Angelika (Jack) Lewis of Chelsea, MI, Dean (MaryAnn) Pollee of Matawan; four grandchildren-Stephanie Fanslau, Samantha Pollee, Mitchell Pollee & Adrianna Pollee; and several nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Wally on April 21, 2008, two brothers-Fritz & Erich Stock, and her sister Irmgard Schoell.
