Mary F. Pounders, 63, passed away October 30, 2019

Mary F. Pounders, 63, of Coloma, passed away on Wednesday morning, October 30, 2019 at her home following an extended battle with kidney disease.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Duffield & Pastrick Family Funeral Home in Coloma. Mary was born on January 2, 1956 in Hayti, Missouri. She was one of eleven children born to Raymond and Sarah Watson. She was a 1974 graduate of Coloma High School. On November 1st of that same year she and Steven Pounders were married. The couple remained in the Coloma area and went on to raise  five children of their own. Later Mary worked as a school bus driver for the Coloma Schools until her retirement in 2006. She loved her family and spent as much time as possible with her grandchildren who meant the world to her.

Mary is survived by her husband Steven; her five children, Shannon (Jason) Heigle of Sodus, Steven Pounders Jr. of Watervliet, Keith (Renee) Pounders of Coloma, Robert (Mystique) Pounders of Coloma, and Annie (Edward) Maloney of Fruitport, Michigan; seven brothers and sisters including Grady Watson, Bobby (Rose) Watson, Lawrence (Audrey) Watson, Jimmy (Sherry) Watson, Don (Dawn) Watson, Patricia (James) Quinn and Barbara (Ralph) Machado; her brother-in-law Joe Patti; and her eight grandchildren, Steven Lee Pounders, Aaron Pounders, Hunter Pounders, Levi Pounders, Hanna Pounders, Madison Pounders, Camren Pounders and Ellie Pounders.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Sarah and Raymond Watson; her brother George  Watson, two sisters, Marilyn Patti and Sharon Watson, and her sister-in-law Teresa Watson.
