Stuart Allen Thurlow, 52, of Coloma, passed away at home surrounded by his many family and friends on Wednesday, June 6, 2018.

A service celebrating Stuart's life will be held 2:00 pm Sunday, June 10 at the Central Assembly of God in Coloma.

Visitation will be Saturday from 4 to 8:00 pm at Duffield & Pastrick Family Funeral Home in Coloma.

Burial will be in Coloma Cemetery.

Memorial donations in memory of Stuart may be made to Caring Circle Hospice.

Stuart was born November 18, 1965 in Benton Harbor to Merle and Dorothy (Short) Thurlow.

He attended Coloma High School, served 30 years on the Coloma Fire Department, 15 years on the Coloma City Police Department, was recently sworn in as a Coloma Township police officer, and is a lifetime member of the Berrien County Sheriff Dept. Mounted Division.

Survivors include his daughter Dani (Chad) White of Coloma; three granddaughters, Lexi, Lainie, and Lilly; his mother Dorothy Thurlow of Coloma; sister Sherry "Chewey" Shearer of Norfork, Neb; and brother Bryan Thurlow of Bullhead City, Ariz.

Also surviving are an uncle Bill Short of Paw Paw, aunt Joyce (Phil) Lunsford of St Joseph, special nephew and caregiver, Keith Thurlow, along with five additional nephews, two nieces, and his extended family, the Tom and Rosemary Fogarty Family.

Stuart was preceded in death by his father Merle, brother Billy and his grandparents Lloyd and Hazel Thurlow and William and Floy Short.
