Norma J. Story, 86, of Stevensville passed away Sunday, September 14, 2014 at West Woods of Bridgman.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 A.M. Friday, September 19, 2014 at, St. Bernard’s Catholic Church, 600 Columbus, Benton Harbor, with Father William Jacobs, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at Hickory Bluff Cemetery in Stevensville. Friends may visit with the family 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. Thursday, September 18, 2014 with Rosary recited at 7:00 P.M. at Starks & Menchinger Chapel and Cremation Services, 2650 Niles Rd. St. Joseph. Norma was born on November 13, 1927 to Walter & Maude (Muth) Fisher in Coloma. She graduated from Covert High School in 1947. Norma married William Story on February 3, 1951 in Benton Harbor. She was a homemaker and took great pride in caring for her twelve children. She spent many hours volunteering for SS John & Bernard Parish. She enjoyed canning, gardening and crocheting.

Norma is survived by her husband, William Story of Stevensville; children: Joseph (Donna) Story of Kalamazoo, Patrick (Gay) Story of Stevensville, William (Dee Dee) Story, Jr. of Berrien Springs, Timothy (Colleen) Story of Benton Harbor; Christine Sheffield of Charleston, SC, Phillip (Rania) Story of Sterling Heights, MI, Kevin Story of Charlotte, NC, John (Linda) Story of Bridgman, Daniel Story of Stevensville, Theresa (Doug) Hovenstine of Rancho Santa Margarita, CA, Donald (Lisa) Story of San Antonia, TX and Brian Story of Benton Harbor; 23 grandchildren; 11 ½ great grandchildren; and sister Evelyn (Dave) Kreigh of South Haven.

She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers.
