Priscilla Martha Bain

 

Priscilla Martha Bain, 88, of St. Joseph, passed away, Friday, May 30, 2014 at Royalton Manor in St. Joseph.

A Celebration of Life Eternal Service will be held 11:30 A.M. Tuesday at Grace Lutheran Church, 404 E. Glenlord Rd., St. Joseph, with Rev. Noah Hedrick officiating.  Friends may visit with the family beginning at 10:30 A.M. Priscilla was born November 4, 1925 in Anderson, Indiana to Chauncey & Ruby (Massey) West.  She graduated from Benton Harbor High School in 1944.  On December 30, 1948, she married Ronald S. Bain in South Bend, Indiana.  Priscilla was employed for many years in the cafeteria at Auto Specialties in St. Joseph.  She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church where she was an active volunteer and the past-president of the Ladies Guild.  Priscilla was known for her outgoing personality and her love of life and nature.  She enjoyed cooking and baking pies, and cherished the time spent with her family.  She will be missed by her family and friends, but now she is in Heaven enjoying God’s Glory.

Priscilla is survived by her children-Bonnie (Robert) Huff of Benton Harbor, Jeffrey Bain of Chicago, IL, Gary (Carol) Bain of Coon Rapids, MN; five grandchildren-Sandra Adkins, Rachel (Josh) Rimpel, Kyle (Kaitlyn) Bain, Todd Bain, Craig Bain; granddaughter-in-law Julie Blevins; two step-grandchildren-Gary (Ami) Huff & Rian (Judi) Huff; ten great-grandchildren; and two nieces-Barbara (Dennis) Trail of Benton Harbor & Maxine (Tim) Smith of Niles. She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Jean Shaffer, her grandson Marc Blevins,  and her husband Ronald.
