SMSO 2019 Summer Season Announced


The Southwest Michigan Symphony Orchestra announces its SMSO 2019 Summer Season.


The Water’s Edge Series with Robin Fountain, Music Director, includes three Southwest Michigan Symphony Orchestra performances at Shadowland Pavilion at Silver Beach. The season kicks off with the traditional Independence Day Celebration on Wednesday, July 3rd, complementing the City of St. Joseph fireworks display. The second featured performance will be the Schalon Summer Series musical production of West Side Story on Friday and Saturday, July 26 & 27 in partnership with The Ghostlight Theatre. The SMSO concerts will wrap up with The Music of James Bond on Saturday, August 10th. 


Also included in the summer fun will be the Summerfest ‘19 Festival which will bring the return of R-E-S-P-E-C-T featuring The Big Payback and the talents of local female vocalists. The festival also includes beer and wine tasting from local to international sources. A special opening night performance of the  R-E-S-P-E-C-T concert will be held Friday, July 19th at the Acorn Theater in Three Oaks, Michigan. 


The SMSO is also excited to partner with the Coming Home Coming Together Concert on Sunday, June 23, 2019 at the Dwight “Pete” Mitchell City Center Park in downtown Benton Harbor as it celebrates its final year of the event.

SMSO Performances: Lawn Seating: $20 / Reserved Seating: $30 / 12 & under: $10 

Tables of ten with parking pass: $350. Day of concert ticket price goes up $5 per ticket

Beach Pass: $65 for 4 lawn tickets to any concert, any combination

R-E-S-P-E-C-T at the Acorn Theater: $30
