State Street Meats Ribbon Cutting

- Dignitaries & Representatives from State Street Meats & Southwest Michigan Regional Chamber to Perform Virtual Ribbon Cutting-

Who:You’re invited to join the Southwest Michigan Regional Chamber as we celebrate the official Ribbon Cutting for State Street Meats!

Where: State Street Meats 416 State St, St. Joseph, MI 49085 & via Facebook Live.

When:  Friday, February 12th at 10:00 a.m.

What:There are occasional times where fate, determination, the ability to always look for new opportunities, and a global pandemic cross paths and the outcome is a huge win. That’s the exact case for the newest addition to downtown St. Joseph with State Street Meats. Owner Ken Kozminski, who many know as the man behind The Buck Burgers and Brew, took the opportunity to fill not only an open storefront but that of a niche market which resulted in the mid January opening of the new full-service butcher stop and specialty market.

As luck would have it, Kozminski’s path crossed with that of third generation Master Certified Butcher Nate Inboden who has assisted in the design the layout and staff training. In addition to fresh produce, high quality meats, deli counter, and pantry items such as pasta, customers can also stop in for quick grab-and-go lunch and dinner options including soups, salads, charcuterie boards, and more.

While restrictions on restaurants have caused Kozminski to temporarily close The Buck, the opening of State Street Meats provides opportunity for otherwise unemployed restaurant staff to learn new skills and return to work. Once inside State Street Meats, you’ll notice many familiar faces from The Buck behind the meat or deli counter, restocking the produce, or at the register. Current hours are Monday 11:00 am – 6:00 pm, closed Tuesday and Wednesday, Thursday through Saturday 11:00 am – 6:00 pm, and Sunday 11:00 am – 5:00 pm.
