The Twin City Players Hosts

1st Annual Volunteer Symposium

The Twin City Players will host its 1st Annual Volunteer Symposium on June 16, 2018 at 11 am. The event will cover many topics for those interested in volunteering at TCP and/or auditioning for TCP shows. Dave Goodyear is organizing the event and experienced staff will be on hand to give tours and answer questions about how to become involved at Twin City Players. The event is for adults and high school students.

Morning sessions include Set Building, Costumes and Makeup, Lighting and Sound, Stage Crew, and Box Office/Ushers.

The afternoon session will begin at 1 pm and cover how to audition. The session is for those that have not auditioned before, are new to the stage, or terrified at the mere thought of auditioning. There is no requirement to get up in front of the group - TCP will have experienced players on hand to demonstrate! The session will cover: What is involved in the audition process, choosing and delivering a monologue, cold reading from a script, character development, and working with other actors in a scene.

The event is free and takes place at the TCP Playhouse, 600 W. Glenlord Road, St. Joseph, MI. Please RSVP by emailing or calling 269-429-0400 (include name and how many attending.) TCP will provide grilled hamburgers between the morning and afternoon sessions.
