LOCATION OF INCIDENT: North 5th Street near Pucker Street,   Niles Township    
 
AGENCIES INVOLVED:     Berrien County Sheriff’s Office Niles Township Patrols, Berrien County Sheriff’s Office Road Patrol, Michigan State Police, Niles City Police Department, Pokagon Tribal Police Department, Berrien County Sheriff’s Office Accident Reconstruction Unit, Southwestern Michigan Community Ambulance Service (SMCAS), WMed Medical Examiner’s Office. 
 
NARRATIVE:   
 
Officers were dispatched to a call of a vehicle vs. pedestrian crash on N. 5th Street near Pucker Street in Niles Township.  The pedestrian was in the roadway attempting to retrieve an article of clothing that was lost while she was a passenger on a motorcycle.  The driver of the vehicle stated that she observed the victim enter the roadway but was unable to avoid the collision.  The victim was pronounced dead at the scene by SMCAS personnel.  The crash is under investigation by the Berrien County Sheriff’s
