Saint Joseph, MI 7/26/2019 and 7/27/2019.  Join us on July 26 and 27 for a musical experience on the shores of Lake Michigan.  The SMSO in conjunction with The Ghostlight Theatre is presenting West Side Story.  This modern day retelling of Romeo and Juliet is sure to delight, with it’s crowd-pleasing music and lyrics through out.  Food trucks will be on site to provide delicious dining options for the evening.  Tickets range from $30.00 for reserved seating, $20.00 for lawn seating, and $10 for children 12 and under (lawn seating only), all ticket prices will increase by $5 on day of performance.  There are no carry-ins or coolers allowed.


Leo Carmody, a Stevensville native, will be a sophomore at the Cincinnati Conservatory of Music (CCM) in pursuit of a BFA in Musical Theatre this fall! West Side Story will be Leo’s 8th production with SMSO. You maybe have seen Leo as Peter in Peter & The Starcatcher, Harold Hill in The Music Man, Prince Eric in The Little Mermaid, Link Larkin in Hairspray and more!


This is Danny LeMache’s first time in Michigan, and he couldn’t be more excited to make his debut with The Ghostlight Theatre. He’s entering his senior year in the BFA Musical Theatre program at Montclair State University.


After finishing her first year at NYU Tisch pursuing a BFA in Drama at the New Studio on Broadway, Carina Kanzler is her summer at The Ghostlight Theatre! Other roles include Mae Tuck in Tuck Everlasting, Diana in Next to Normal, and Maria in West Side Story.


Fafa Shaefferis understudying Francesca in The Bridges of Madison County, playing Maria in West Side Story, and is in the ensemble/understudying Hope Cladwell in Urinetown. Previous credits include Rider University’s Oklahoma! (Laurey), Heathers, Disenchanted, and The Good Person of Setzuan.


Food options will be provided by Woodstock & Grill, Lake and Farmer, and Louie’s Red Hots Chicago Style Hot Dogs on Friday, July 26.  On Saturday, July 27, food will be provided by Woodstock & Grill, Lake & Farmer,and The Ice House LLC.  Beer, wine, and soft drinks will be available for purchase at the event.
