Dorothy was born July 11, 1922 in St. Joseph to Carl & Elsie (Burandt) Grau.  She met Ernest G. Hauch and on November 16, 1940 they were married at Trinity Lutheran Church in St. Joseph.  Dorothy was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Stevensville where she sang in the choir for many years.  She retired as the hot lunch cook at St. Paul’s Lutheran School.

Dorothy enjoyed reading historical fiction novels & daily devotionals, cooking, sewing, crocheting, crossword puzzles, listening and singing classical gospel music, and babysitting her grandchildren. But most of all, she loved to worship her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  She always encouraged her family and friends to look to the Lord for help and guidance through daily prayer.

Dorothy is survived by her children-Margaret (Wolfgang) Moneta of Baroda, Richard (Sandy) Hauch of Stevensville, Steven (Shellie) Hauch of Acworth, GA, David & Linda Hauch who lived with her at home, and Ruth Ann Young of Benton Harbor; eleven grandchildren- Suzi, Marty, Michael, Marcy, Keith, Jeff, Chris, Brian, Shawn, Samantha & Lucas; seven great grandchildren-Dani, Madison, Sydney, Nick, Stephanie, Katie & Michael, Jr.; and two great-great-grandchildren-Ari & Jasper.  She was preceded in death by her parents, step-father Robert Herman, her husband Ernest, adopted brother Louis Grau, and her daughter Donna Klug.
