Pete LaRouechis 73 years young and started painting just three years ago. He attended Western Michigan University where he received degrees in Educational Leadership. When he left teaching, he began experimenting with abstract painting. “I believe that color defines me as an artist.  Many of my paintings are made up color combinations that other artists might not select,” says LaRouech. “ Most viewers see images in my works that I did not see or plan for. As an artist this gives me pleasure and validation.”
