Alice Mae Krebiehl Obituary
Alice Mae Krebiehl, 91 years young at heart, of St. Joseph, passed away Friday, March 13, 2026, peacefully and painlessly in her sleep.

Alice was born December 30, 1934, to Willard and Helen Riegel, in the Siglow Family farmhouse in Romeo, Michigan. She grew up and attended school in Troy, Michigan, with her parents - Helen and Floyd Wesp. There, Alice met Norm Krebiehl and they fell in love marrying at age 18, and spending 51 years together until Norm's passing in April 2004. During those years she gave birth to four children, with the first, Carol Ann, tragically dying during delivery. The remaining three children were all boys, and she gave her entire self to raise and take care of her family. Alice also loved her extended family, which included not only relatives but, anyone in her life that she engaged with. Alice was a strong, loving presence in every life she touched, always willing to sincerely listen and offer thoughts and insights without judgement.
Alice loved company and dozens of lives benefitted from her kindness at our home on Lake Avalon in Hillman, Michigan. She was able to do so much with so little. There were countless cookouts, bonfires, games, and pontoon rides. Alice truly loved sharing lake life with family and friends. Later in her life, after Dad passed, she spent her time socially as part of groups like the Red Hats and volunteering for various events and causes around Hillman. Her heart and character were quickly recognized and appreciated by everyone she met. Alice was always willing to help in any way she could even when lacking the means to do so.
Alice is survived by her son - Dave (Denise) Krebiehl; grandchildren Josh (Aryn) Krebiehl, Alicia (Brian) Wildey, Kaela Wunderlich, Jessica Krebiehl, Jennifer Howry, and Casey (Rob) Kelly; great-grandchildren McKenzie Kelly, Jared (Bela) Kelly, Parker Howry, Cole Howry, Montana Solt, Julia Wildey, Josie Wildey; great - great - grandchildren - Allison Storer, Liam Kelly, and siblings - Bob (Diane) Wesp, Bill (Sue) Wesp and Mike Riegel.
Alice is preceded in death by her husband - Norm Krebiehl; children - Carol Krebiehl, Brad Krebiehl and Todd Krebiehl; mother - Helen (Floyd) Wesp; father -Willard Riegel; and sister - Debbie Riegel.
Alice's cremated remains will be interred in the family plot at Roseland Park Cemetery, Berkley, Michigan.
