Carolyn A. Irwin Obituary

Carolyn A. Irwin, 85, of Watervliet, passed away on November 5, 2024 at The Willows in St. Joseph.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, November 8 at Duffield & Pastrick Family Funeral Home in Coloma with visitation beginning one hour prior to the service. Carolyn was born February 9, 1939 in Benton Harbor to Sheldon and Evelyn Williams.   She worked for Michigan Bell telephone company, later AT&T, as an operator and instructor. She worked along side her husband JR for many years until retirement in December of 1994. Following retirement, Carolyn enjoyed life traveling all around the United States, including many trips to Alaska and Hawaii and also was an avid collector of Swarovski crystal.

Carolyn is survived by her husband JR, whom she married May 21, 1983; children Jeff (Juanita) Jones of Coloma and Glenn (Tracy) Jones of Hiram, Ga.; step sons Kenny Irwin of Riverside and Darrel Irwin of Watervliet; and siblings Ronnie (Kay) Williams of McKinney, Texas and Linda Watkins of Watervliet. Also surviving are her grandchildren Heather Jones and Joshua Jones; great grandchildren Taylor Gast, Hannah Knuth and Jameson Jones; one great great grandchild Havana; and nephew John Storey.

In addition to her parents, Carolyn was preceded in death by her son Mark Jones and grandson Miles Jones.
