In memoriam of Carl E. Fain, 12/05/1941 - 07/26/2014 

Carl E. Fain, 72 of Watervliet passed away Saturday, July 26 at his residence. 

Services celebrating his life will be held 11:00 am Thursday, July 31 at Duffield & Pastrick Family Funeral Home in Coloma where visitation will be Wednesday from 5 to 8 pm. Burial with military honors will be in North Shore Memory Gardens. Donations in memory of Carl may be made to the Shriners. Carl was born December 5, 1941 in Sister Lakes to William and Ruth Fain. He served in the Army during the Korean Conflict and was a member of the American Legion, VFW, Masonic Lodge, and Shriners. He was employed by Woolworth as District Manager for 20 years and was the owner of many stores in the area including Off the Edge in Benton Harbor. 

He is survived by two daughters Maggie Fain and Denise Collins both of Hartford; two sons Kurt (Marshel) Fain of Richmond, KY and Mike Taylor of Gaffney, SC.; his brother Chuck (Mary) Fain, and his sisters Bonnie (Harold) Gast and Alice Main. Also surviving are four grandchildren; Sgt Gabriel Cleatus Matthew Fain – US Army, and Shelby, Glassie, and Lidia Fain, several nieces and nephews, and many loving family and friends. 

Carl was preceded in death by his wife Charlene in 2013, his parents, two brothers Robert and William Fain, and two sisters Pat Lefon and Sandra Rodriguez-Morris.
