Corinne Bertha Edgin, 87, of Benton Harbor, died Saturday, September 9, 2023 at home surrounded by her loving family.
A graveside service will be held 1:00 P.M. Thursday, September 14, at Lakeshore-Hagar Cemetery on Eamon Road in Hagar Township. Those wishing to leave on online message of remembrance may do so at www.duffieldpastrick.com.
Corinne was born December 8, 1935 in Benton Harbor to Emil and Aleatha Herman. As a young child she learned to hate her middle name as other kids teased her about it, which remains to be a sore subject with her, even in her later years. Corinne had a passion for gardening, taking care of the birds with feeders and birdbaths, sewing, quilting, and family get togethers. She also had a strong sense of adventure which was shown with her love for flying with her husband Everett on Sunday afternoons. At one point she even “attempted” to drive a motorcycle. She had a very strong Christian belief with reading her bible daily and listening to Christian songs.
Corinne is survived by her husband of 52 years, Everett “Jan” Edgin, her son David (Laura) Foster, daughters, Marcia (Barry) Lee and Susan (John) Neal, step daughters Janet (John) Scott and Beth (Chris) Farkus. Also surviving are eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents Corinne was preceded in death by two brothers, Jack and Chuck Herman, her sister JoAnne Bruff, a daughter Karen Belter, and grandson Matthew D. Foster.
