Dean "Hap" Sink, 79, of Millburg passed away peacefully on Friday, October 10, 2014 at Lakeland Hospital with his family by his side. Hap was born August 1, 1935 in Benton Harbor. He served his country in the Army for 4 years. He retired from the Michigan Department of Transportation after 30 years of service. On October 9, 1963 he married the love of his life, Edna Clark. They were blessed with 51 years of marriage and raised three children together.

Hap was the proud Papa of 4 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren who were the light of his life. He proudly enjoyed watching grandchildren participate in their many sports activities. His other hobbies included playing golf, fishing, Nascar, watching football and attending car shows. He was always on the lookout for the next car he could proudly add to his classic car collection.

Hap thoroughly enjoyed making people laugh and was always ready and willing to share the newest joke with whoever he could get to listen. He found great joy in giving his many nurses a hard time and was never satisfied until he had them laughing.

Those wishing to leave a message or share a memory with the family online may do so by selecting the "Sign the Guestbook" option on the left.

Hap is survived by his wife, Edna; daughters, Donna (John) Andrasi and Victoria (Johnny Johnson) Sink, both of Benton Harbor, son Michael (Susan) Sink of Riverside; grandchildren Kassie(David) Prisk of Coloma, Aaron Andrasi of Kalamazoo, Matthew Andrasi of Benton Harbor and Kaitlyn Sink of Riverside; great grandchildren Kayla, Kylie, and Kayden Prisk of Coloma along with a host of family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents Clare and Carlene Stearns and his brother Gene (Colonel) Sink. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Kidney Foundation or St. Jude Children's Hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at Duffield & Pastrick Family Funeral Home in Coloma. Visitation will take place Sunday from 2 - 4 p.m.
