Ernest H. Faultersack

 

Ernest H. Faultersack, 89, of Benton Harbor, passed away, Thursday, March 06, 2014 at Caretel Inns of Lakeland in St. Joseph.

Celebration of Life Services will be held 11:00 A.M. Monday, March 10, 2014 at Starks & Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph, with Rev. Richard Hennig officiating.  Burial will follow at Crystal Springs Cemetery, Benton Harbor, with Military Rites conducted by the North Berrien Military Rites Team.  Friends may visit with the family from 10:00 until 11:00 A.M. Mr. Faultersack was born June 7, 1924 in Faithorn, Michigan in the Upper Peninsula, one of seven children born to Peter & Ella (Thompson) Faultersack.  Ernest served in the Civilian Conservation Corps from 1941 until 1942, and served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II in the European Theater as a combat engineer. After the war he moved to Benton Harbor, where he married the former Elsie “Ruth” Priebe on February 22, 1947, became a father and worked at Theisen-Clemens which became Pri-Mar Petroleum, retiring in 1990.  In his free time, Ernest enjoyed hunting and fishing.  He was a very good soul and will be sorely missed.

Ernest is survived by his wife Ruth; his son Michael (Jan) Faultersack of Bloomfield Hills; two granddaughters-Rachel & Molly Faultersack; and numerous nieces & nephews.  He was preceded in death by his siblings-Elmer, Albert “Bill”, Stanley, Harold “Bud”, & Glenn Faultersack and Patsy Vanderbeck.
