The GhostLight Theatre’s 2023 Summer Season Opens May 11

Kickoff Fundraising Cabaret “It Might As Well Be Spring” on April 1

The GhostLight Theatre, Southwest Michigan’s premier performing arts organization located in the Benton Harbor Arts District, will open its fourth summer season on May 11. The 2023 GhostLight season kicks off with the Shakespeare comedy “Much Ado about Nothing”, followed by the smash-hit musical “Cabaret”, and concludes with the contemporary musical love story “Once” based on the award winning film.

“We couldn’t be more excited about our fourth summer season here at The GhostLight Theatre”, says General Manager and Artistic Director Paul Mow. “These particular shows are sure to take our audiences on three very different journeys of exploration, love, humor, heartache and self-awareness.”

To support the season, The GhostLight is hosting a cabaret fundraising event themed “It Might As Well Be Spring” on Saturday, April 1 beginning at 6pm ET. The performance features jazz soloist Emily Perkins,who returns to Southwest Michigan after several years honing her craft as a military vocalist and international freelance musician.

Additional performers include Paul Mow, tenor, Dan Maxon on guitar and vocals, Joshua Goines, pianist, and Marc Churchill on drums, with vocal support from Meggie Anderson, Jonathan Clough, Cameron Hampton, Abbi Kalin, Emilie Kurtz, Kristina McCloskey, Peighton Mooney, Kate Mosher, Sofia Pate, Meghan Pelkey, Carrie Vandenburgh, Meagan Vandervelde and Brady West.

Sponsors for this event include 3 Pillars Music, The Quarternote Lofts, and The Inn at Harbor Shores, who will be debuting their new “Classy Coupe” Prosecco cart for this event.  Prosecco, Wine and Beer will be available for purchase.
