Lilli Brandt Zielke Obituary

Lilli Brandt Zielke was born on April 7, 1926, in Puchawa Wolynia, Poland and entered into the presence of her Lord and Savior on March 28th, 2022 in St. Joseph, MI.

Visitation will be held at Starks & Menchinger Funeral Home on Thursday, March 31, 2022 from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Funeral Services will be held at Napier Parkview Baptist Church, Benton Harbor on Friday, April 1, 2022 at 10:30 A.M. Officiating will be Pastor Alex Tunnicliff, Redemption Hill Church of Kingsford, MI and Pastor Dan Golladay of Napier Parkview Baptist Church, Benton Harbor, MI. Interment will be at Riverview Cemetery, St. Joseph, MI.

Lilli immigrated to the United States in November 1951 along with her brother Walter Brandt and became a citizen of this country in 1965.

On April 10, 1954 she married Siegfried Zielke at the Clay Street Baptist Church in Benton Harbor, MI.

Lilli’s life centered on serving her family very well in every way that she could. Her gift of hospitality was experienced by so many. She was a faithful member of Napier Parkview Baptist Church where she served in many different areas.

She is survived by her husband Siegfried, children: Helga (John) Maier of St. Joseph, Norman (Janice) Zielke of Stevensville, Helmut Zielke of St. Joseph, 2 granddaughters, 5 grandsons and 14 wonderful great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Preceding Lilli in death were her parents: Johann and Julianna Brandt, sisters Adina Muenzer, Erna Jobs and brothers Walter and Ethan Brandt. Also preceding her in death were seven brothers and sisters who died while deported to Siberia before Lilli and her immediate siblings were born.
