Robert Ramon Neuman, 87, of Benton Harbor, Michigan, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, October 1, 2014 at Hanson Hospice Center, Stevensville, Michigan.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11: 30 A.M. Monday, October 6, 2014 at Starks & Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph. Friends may visit with the family on Sunday, October 5, 2014 from 2:00 P.M. until 4:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Hanson Hospice Center in lieu of flowers. Robert “Bob” was born November 6, 1926 in Benton Harbor, Michigan to Rudolph and Emma Shepke Neuman. He married his wife of 66 years, Doris Grannell, on May 10, 1948. He was a member of the Pioneer Memorial Church in Berrien Springs. Bob proudly served his country in the United States Army, while being stationed in Japan during World War II. Bob loved nature and the outdoors. He raised a lovely and bountiful garden and was an avid deer and turkey hunter. Bob was a creative, inventive person who could improve almost anything. Bob worked as a truck driver for 35 years and was a Local 7 Teamster.

Bob is survived by his children, Susan (Jim) Stormont, Kathleen (Mike) Bailey, Robert T. (Sherry) Neuman and Cynthia Stiles; his grandchildren: James G. (Nila) Stormont and son Jack, Heather (Jeff) Pisarsky and sons Austin & Matthew, Daniel (Anita) Stormont and sons Caleb & Aiden, Jason J. (Christine) Roland and sons Brody, Logan & Sammy, Brian A. (Mariana Ababei) Roland and daughter Jane, Robert C. (Rebecca) Neuman and daughter Natalie, Paul J. Neuman, Amber R. Stiles, Violet (Robert) Pollock, Meghan Watt and daughter Ayla, Thomas R. (Melany) Neuman and children Ty and Karver, and Mandee (Russ) McCaul and children Emilee and Logan.

Bob is also survived by his step-grandchildren: Adam and Matt Bailey, Pam (Jim) Mullins and children, Amy Bailey and son, Michelle Bailey and son, and many nieces and nephews.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents; son Thomas W. Neuman; brothers William and Arthur; sisters Alvina, Martha, and Ida; sisters-in-law Elaine Leitz and Hazel Watkins, and grandson Kristopher W. Neuman.
