Ronald Wendzel October 18th, 1939 - September 6th, 2022

Ronald Elmer Wendzel, 82, of St. Joseph, MI passed away Tuesday, September 6, 2022 at Spectrum Health Lakeland in St. Joseph.



A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1:00 P.M., Saturday, September 17, 2022 at Starks & Menchinger Chapel and Cremation Service, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph. Friend may visit with the family from 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M., Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will take place at a later date at Caldwell Cemetery in Eau Claire. Ron was born October 18, 1939 in Watervliet, MI to Elmer & Viola (Tuttle) Wendzel. Ron served his country in the United States Army. After working on the family farm Ron became a Truck Driver for many years. On October 7, 2000 he married Virginia Vickery in Baroda, MI. Ron enjoyed fishing, hunting, and being outdoors. He also loved traveling to Florida and spending time with family and friends.



Ron is survived by his wife Virginia Wendzel; children Eric (Robyn) Wendzel, Anita Wendzel, and Chad (Wilma Ridley) Wendzel; grandchildren Ryan, Megan, Alyssa and Nathan Wendzel; sister Joan (Larry) Williamson; mother-in-law Dottie Vickery; brother-in-law Ron (Rhonda) Vickery; and many nieces and nephews. Ron was preceded in death by his parents, father-in-law Paul Vickery and brother-in-law Jimmy Vickery.
