Rosalyn Zick

Rosalyn Zick, 96, of St. Joseph, passed away Tuesday, September 9, 2014 at her home, surrounded by her family.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held 11:00 A.M. Monday, September 15, 2014 at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 914 Lane Dr., St. Joseph with Rev. Dennis Remenschbeider officiating. A private burial will be held at Riverview Cemetery in St. Joseph. Friends may visit from 2:00 P.M. until 5:00 P.M. Sunday, September 14, 2014 at Starks & Menchinger Chapel and Cremation Service, 2650 Niles Rd., St. Joseph. Rosalyn was born November 26, 1917 in Chicago, IL to Anton & Anna (Balis) Piontek. She graduated from Benton Harbor High School. On July 31, 1937 she married Erwin Zick in Benton Harbor. Rosalyn was a homemaker who kept a busy schedule caring for her family. In her spare time she enjoyed going to church and spending time with her family.

Rosalyn is survived by her son Larry (Fran) Zick of Greenville, MI; three grandchildren Kimberly (Michael) Gebhard of Gregory, MI., Kristen (Kenneth) Michael of Coloma, and Matthew (Jesse Irwin) Zick of Lowell, MI; three great grandchildren Taylor and Riley Michael and Morgan Zick; and daughter-in-law Linda Zick of St. Joseph. Rosalyn was preceded in death by her son Terry Zick, parents, husband, brother Ed Piontek and sisters Josephine Pitcher and Stell Clark.
