Summer Pop Up Concert Series

June 30, 2022

The last of the Southwest Michigan Symphony Orchestra’s free June Pop Up! Concerts is this Thursday, June 30, and features members of the symphony orchestra and friends!

The Aubergine Brass Quintet, featuring musicians Michael Gause, Jacy Ripley, Paul Clifton-O’Donnell, Chris Houlihan and Johan Weller, will play a selection of pieces that will delight those in attendance.

The FREE concert will be at 4 pm in the beautiful garden of the Maud Preston Palenske Memorial Library, 500 Market St., St. Joseph. Please bring a chair or blanket to sit on. The Ice House food truck will be on site and will have selections to purchase, or you may bring your own food and beverage, if desired.

These concerts were started during the pandemic as a thank you to our community for its support of the SMSO. They are free to the public, however, if you are so moved, please consider making a tax-deductible contribution to help ensure the fiscal health of the SMSO.  These concerts are supported, in part, by a grant from the Michigan Council for Arts and Cultural Affairs and the National Endowment for the Arts.

The SMSO hopes the community has enjoyed these rousing orchestral offerings Thursdays in June and we look forward to offering a selection of Pop Up! Concerts in August at the Krasl Art Center.
