Elise plans to attend LMC and then transfer to a four-year university. While she doesn’t know exactly what she wants to do, she knows it will involve theatre.

Alyssa also studies voice and is an accomplished dancer studying ballet, contemporary, jazz, and tap at Fusion Center for Dance where she is a member of the Fusion Dance Company earning many dance titles and awards. In the fall, Alyssa will attend Central Michigan University as part of the Honor’s College and will be double majoring in Dance Studies and Marketing with a minor in Business Administration.

The Twin City Players established the Brian Swiger Memorial Scholarship in 1996 in memory of former member Brian Swiger. The scholarships are earmarked for seniors graduating from Berrien County high schools who have demonstrated a strong interest in theater-related activities during their academic careers. Winners, however, can use the award money to pursue any field of study at any accredited college, university, trade school or arts education institution. The scholarship is awarded based upon school and community activities, TCP involvement, grade point average of 2.5 or better, and a short essay.
