Walter M. Sewcyck December 31, 1936 - August 31, 2022

Walter M. Sewcyck, 85, of Coloma passed away Wednesday, August 31, 2022 at Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00 A.M. Saturday, September 3, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Watervliet.  Burial will be at North Shore Memory Gardens.  Visitation will be 5 to 7 P.M. Friday, followed by the Rosary at 7:30 P.M. at Duffield & Pastrick Family Funeral Home in Coloma.  Donations in memory of Walter may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church in Watervliet, of which he was a member and usher.  Those wishing to leave an online message of remembrance may do so by using the "Guestbook" link located on this page.

Walter was born December 31, 1936 in Coloma to Walter and Karolina (Jarosz) Sewcyck.  He owned and operated Riverside Electric for over 40 years and in his free time enjoyed hunting, fishing, and golfing.  He was a dedicated, loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather who will truly be missed by all.

Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Christean (Jones), whom he married August 17, 1957 in Watervliet; a daughter, Theresa (Mark) Sewcyck-Gamble of Bay Village, Ohio; his son Tim Sewcyck of Coloma; two grandchildren, Heather Sewcyck and Matthew (Melissa) Sewcyck; along with two great grandchildren, Brenner Sewcyck and Gemma Richards.

In addition to his parents Walter was preceded in death by five brothers, Edward, Ernie, Louie, Tom, and Chester.
