David W. Lull Obituary

David W. Lull, 85, of Benton Harbor, went home to be with his Savior. Jesus Christ on Wednesday, June 25. 2025, at Hanson Hospice Center in Stevensville, Michigan.

Dave was born December 24, 1939, in Benton Harbor 10 Frederick & Sy1via Lull. He graduated from Benton Harbor High School, Class of 1958. On August 5, 1960, he married the former Susan Craidon in Benton Harbor. Dave gained employment at Slaughter Instrument Co. on Industrial Island in St. Joseph. working his way up the ranks, learning the operation of all the machines, and retiring after forty years as general manager.

Dave loved history, especially the local history of Benton Harbor. He loved to tell stories about his life growing up and the things that happened in the city. Dave also enjoyed studying his family's genealogy. He was a self-starter who never stopped learning. He taught himself whatever he needed to know to complete the project at hand. In his free time, Dave enjoyed camping and traveling and was always up for a drive, just to tour the countryside. He cherished the winters spent in St. Petersburg and the time spent with his family.

Dave is survived by his wife of sixty-five years, Susan; his children Heidi Lull of Benton Harbor, Rick (Ursula) Lull of St. Joseph; three grandchildren-Hannah Lull. Sydney (Brad) Clapp, Adyson Lull; his great­ granddaughter Haven Clapp; and several nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Jeanne Lindsey & his brother Gay Lee lull, Sr.
