Dolores A. Spletzer Obituary

Dolores A. Spletzer, 89, of Stevensville, passed away, Tuesday, September 23, 2025 at, A Place Called Home, where she most recently resided. Arrangements are entrusted to Starks & Menchinger Chapel, St. Joseph. Memorial donations in Dolores’ name may be made to Stevensville American Legion Post #568. Dolores was born January 22, 1936 in Benton Harbor, to Alex & Mary Rosenthal. She graduated from St. Joseph High School, Class of 1953. On June 2, 1956, she married Richard Spletzer in Stevensville. Dolores worked for thirty years at Whirlpool Corporation, retiring in 1997 as an administrative assistant. Dolores was a long-time member of Stevensville American Legion Auxiliary. She was a gourmet cook and looked forward to entertaining family and friends for holidays and other special occasions. Dolores was a very caring person who was always looking after those that she knew. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Dolores is survived by her children-Tim (Becky) Spletzer of Stevensville, Tammy (Rory) Miller of Hastings, MI; four grandchildren-Amanda (Nick) Dragisic, Richard (Brittney) Spletzer, Alyssa (Mitch) Seeling, Erika (Dylan) Kelmer; six great-grandchildren-Lily, Lila, Paul, Lainey, Reed & Arlen; her brother Duane (Norma) Rosenthal of Stevensville; her sister Carol (Jerry) Schmidtke of St. Joseph; and numerous nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Richard in 2006, her brother Gary Rosenthal & her sister Gloria Carneal.
