Neighbor by Neighbor clients struggle with food and housing insecurity. Food assistance has been cut by as much as 75% for some of our clients and rent across the state has increased, on average, 11%. Neighbor by Neighbor connects the most vulnerable residents of SW Berrien Country with resources and services to address immediate needs, while facilitating greater independence through targeted programs and services to address immediate needs, while facilitation greater independence through targeted programs and services. Neighbor by Neighbor also mobilizes the community to build networks of mutual service and care through robust volunteer participation.
We are asking you to please consider sponsorship of our fall fundraiser

raise funds to continue to support poor clients in our area.
Our fall fundraiser, “Do it with Love,” featuring Meagan McNeal, will take place on Friday, October 6, 2023, at 8:00pm at The Acorn Theater, located at 107 Generations Drive in Three Oaks, Michigan. Prior to the concert, there will be a VIP Pre-Show Event taking place at A Drawing Room, located at 9 N. Elm Street in Three Oaks. Meagan McNeal is a powerhouse singer, songwriter and recording artist from
Chicago, Illinois. She is well-versed in the genres of jazz, soul, and R&B.
Known for her diverse vocal range and soulful voice, she attracted attention on the local circuit and received international acclaim with the release of her debut album entitled, “Mindset” in 2014. Gracing the stage of NBC’s “The Voice” in 2017, Meagan’s radiating vocals landed her on the team of Grammy Award-winning artist, Jennifer Hudson. Those experiences have broadened the scope of her potential and it has furthered her music career. We are thrilled to feature Megan and her limitless capacity to deliver an unforgettable experience.
About Neighbor by Neighbor
The Pokagon Fund came to Church of the Mediator with a community need, to serve those in poverty who live in Harbor Country. Th Reverend Paula Durren and Linnea Berg spearheaded the new program together and developed the guiding principles. Harbert Community Church then became a fiduciary partner and large supporter.
During the height of the pandemic, Neighbor by Neighbor focused on keeping our clients housed, with food on the table and the lights on. As Covid recedes, Neighbor by Neighbor has focused on getting clients back to work by connecting them to jobs, offering a GED program, and connecting families to community resources. Neighbor by Neighbor received our own 501c3 status in January 2022 and all donations are charitable deductible.
