Lois was born on August 7, 1918 to Fred and Abbie (Hummel) Wright in St. Joseph, MI.  She married Vito Abbott on April 4, 1942 in Leominster, MA. Though she worked for a short time at Cooper-Wells, first and foremost, Lois was a homemaker.

The most important things to Lois were her family and friends, and there was nothing she loved more than spending time with them.  She also enjoyed reading, bingo, and collecting stuffed animals.  The last four years of her life were spent at Caretel and the staff and residents became like family – she cherished them dearly.

Lois is survived by numerous nieces and nephews; great nieces and nephews; and great-great nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Vito; sisters Ruth Moritz, Henrietta Johnson, and Mattie Wright; and brothers Floyd, Lavern, Bethel, Calvin, and Kenneth Wright.
