Frank was born January 10, 1949 in St. Joseph, Michigan the son of the late Edward Pastrick and Marie (Bertuca) Pastrick Onley. He graduated from St. Joseph Catholic High School and completed one year of study at Lake Michigan College before deciding to start his career in the auto industry to support his family. Frank knew the importance of hard work and valued the ability to be able to provide from his family. From an early age Frank could be seen around downtown St. Joseph shoveling snow and washing windows for local merchants, selling fruit out of his wagon or souvenirs at the Blossomtime parade, or shining shoes. Many of those same customers who came to Frank to shine their shoes would later become loyal customers of Frank Pastrick Chevrolet.

Frank was a true entrepreneur as well as an active community member. Frank joined Ned Gates Chevrolet in 1969, at the age of 19, and quickly moved through the ranks of management positions where he was recognized by General Motors as a future dealer. In 1980, Frank purchased a partnership in the company and in 1982 become the sole owner. Not only did Frank go on to have 29 successful years as a Chevrolet dealer, but he also found ways to continually serve the community. Frank was actively involved in the United Way and the boards of both Lake Michigan College and St. Joseph Public Schools, serving as Chairman for both organizations.

On June 19, 1976 he married Catherine Sue Dey and together they shared almost 38 years of love and life together. Survivors include his wife - Cathey Pastrick; his children Anthony (Lesley) Pastrick, Michael (Jessica) Pastrick and Catherine Pastrick; and a soon to arrive grandchild; brothers - Anthony Pastrick, Eugene (Peggy) Pastrick and Edward (Jodie Schrepper) Pastrick; half brothers - Jerry and Daniel and half sister - Gloria.
